St. Mary's win All Ireland Cadette A Volleyball Shield
Congratulations to St. Mary's Cadette A Volleyball team who won the All Ireland Shield Final on 25th January. In a closely contested match against Fethard, St. Mary's emerged winners in the 3rd set, winning by 25-22. Well done also, to Niamh Sheridan, TY student and volleyball assistant, who received the MVP (most valuable player) award on the day. Congratulations to all players and to Ms. Nolan, their coach.
St. Mary's retains Rigby Jones Debating Trophy
Congratulations to St Mary's senior debating team who won the Co. Kildare Rigby Jones Debating Competition for the second consecutive year. Our girls were opposing the motion that 'Brexit is good for the EU'. The girls debated with an excellent blend of humour and well researched points.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable debate and the girls were announced winners after a unanimous decision by the Judges. The team members are Captain Gemma Robotham, Aoife Ryan, Mia Sherry, Alison O'Brien and Bonnie O' Halloran. Well done to Mr. Dillon and the girls on all their hard work and committment.
