Cairdeas 2015-2016

Cairdeas 2015-2016.

Last year a 6th year  Cairdeas team were selected to mentor 2nd year classes. Following on from its success, over 80 of last years 5th years applied to be Cairdeas leaders for the present school year. With the help of the Faith Development Office in Carlow, interviews were held last April and 12  pupils were chosen for the programme.IMG 0335 The Cairdeas team attended a day’s leadership training in the Osprey in August and have worked with the 2nd year since the start of the academic year. They have organised an activities morning and class based events. Rumour has it that a movie night before Halloween is imminent. The team are Aoife Raggett, Chloe Mangan, Robyn O’Reilly, Jamie Lee Nolan,  Amy Crofton, Katie Clarke, Caoimhe Duffy, Laura Keenaghan, Clare Scanlon, Amy Nugent,  Jade Carpenter and Grace Mc Entegart

 

The Cairdeas team held a very successful Movie PJ Night for all 2nd years in October. A choice of 3 movies was available and friends were able to enjoy their chosen movie with the help of loads of duvets, pillows and throws. Pizza and chips served at the start of the movie were enjoyed by all and the desert was sweets and chews, An enjoyable night was had by all.
