The under 16 Gaelic team made a terrific start to their Leinster championship campaign with a 7.08 to 1.06 win over Tullamore in Tullamore on Friday the 17th Oct. It was a hard fought game but St Mary's ability to get goals was the deciding factor. Scorers were Sarah Cullen, Grace Casey, Laura Messett, Ciara Breslin, Eva Murphy and Ciara Fennin. There was some tremendous defending also. Special mention must go to Emma Martin who had an exceptional game making her debut in goals. Next game is against Mountmellick CS on Thursday the 23rd of oct in Naas Gaa. Throw in is at 1245.
