Huge congratulations to St. Mary's under 14 Gaelic footballers who won the Leinster Championship after defeating Our Lady's Bower Athlone on a scoreline of 5-14 to 5-5. The girls played fantastic attacking football, displayed excellent team work and immense spirit throughout the game. Some of the stand out performances on the day were Anna Dunlea in goals, Eabha Owens, Rachel Mc Keogh, Julie Kennedy, Saoirse Hogan Murphy and player of the match, Roisin Jameson. Despite being drowned by the team with water after the game, their coaches Mr. Hourihan, Mr. Brennan and Mr. Wallace are extremely proud of the girls achievements!! The players have made history by winning this title for the very first time. Well done to all those involved. The future is bright for the Gaelic footballers of St. Mary's.
