The National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM), in association with the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland (BSTAI), recently publically recognised excellence in Junior Certificate Higher Level Business Studies business award 2018aat a Gala Ceremony in the Aula Maxima. In recognition of the excellence in contributing to the teaching and promotion of the discipline, St Mary’s College Naas was invited to attend. Isabelle O'Dwyer, representing the numerous students who achieved ‘A’ grades, was invited to attend along with her parents. Mr. Wallace, representing the Business Department in St. Mary's, also attended. Isabelle was presented with both individual certificates for those students who achieved an ‘A’ grade and a framed plaque for the school recognising the achievements of all high achieving Business Studies students. Presentations were made by the President of NUIM, Professor Philip Nolan. Refreshments were served afterwards in the Pugin Hall and it provided a great opportunity to meet with various academic staff and department heads from the university.
