18 Transition year students, accompanied by Ms. McEntegart, Ms Fleming and Ms. Curry, travelled to Nice, France recently.
During the trip they attended French classes at the French Langue school, visited the main sights in Monaco, enjoyed a trip
to a perfumerie in Galimard, visited Cannes, where they lucky enough to be present for the opening day of the film festival
and to mingle with celebrities, rambled through the town of Nice and explored the medieval hill top town of St. Paul de Vance,
before finishing off with a splash in a local fountain. All agreed it was an experience they will always remember. (by Rachel and Abigail)

Lifeskills Trip to Dublin: On Wednesday the 16th of May the first and second year Life Skills classes went on an educational day trip to Dublin. Our first stop was to EPIC. For those who have never heard of EPIC it’s an Irish Emigration Museum. It is the world’s only fully digital museum. It explores 1500 years of Irish history in a really interesting way. We learned lots about our greatest achievements in music, literature, sport, politics, fashion and science. Following our visit from EPIC we enjoyed a tasty picnic sitting in the sun in Merrion square. Our final stop of the day was to step on board the Jeanie Johnson tall ship and famine museum. We went down below deck and learned a fascinating story informing us as to why the ship is so famous. Overall we had a memorable, fun day. (by Kayleigh, Nicole and Wiktoria)
Congratulations to the TY students who competed in a soccer tournament against the CBS on 20th April last. Although they lost out on winning the cup, great credit is due to them for their skill and determination in winning the plate event 1-0 against the CBS boys with a superb goal scored by Maria Naughton.
