  • Different types of activities were organised for each day of the week both before and after school. These activities were:
  • A Céilí
  • A Photo Booth
  • Early morning Walk On Wednesday
  • Fun Outdoor Activities
  • Prayerful Morning Meditation
  • Creation of a ‘Thumbs Up for Wellbeing’ Mural
  • ‘Morning Mash Up’ – early morning disco
  • Boxercise is continuing on a Wednesday evening after school. There is a regular group of 5th & 6th years and teachers attending.
  • The ‘My Youth Friends’ programme is continuing amongst the first year classes. As there are not enough classes remaining in the school year to complete the programme, we are researching alternative solutions to see how we may finish it with the students.
  • The NCCA invited the school to participate in a ‘Student Voice Forum’ regarding the development of a possible Wellbeing Curriculum. Claire Walsh, Sinead McGouran and 6 students travelled to Dublin Castle on Tuesday 15th March 2016 to the event. The students represented themselves and the school very well on the day engaging in the various different conversations throughout the day. The NCCA complimented us on the calibre of students we had in attendance.
  • The students would like to establish a ‘Student Voice Forum’ in St. Mary’s College. The next step is for them to meet with Ms. McCabe and inform her of what they have been working on and make some suggestions as to how they see a ‘Student Voice Forum’ working in the school.
