Minor Camogie team 2017 reaches Leinster semi-final
The Minor Camogie team in St. Mary's has reached the semi finals of the Dublin A league after three impressive performances that saw them win all games to finish top of their group. The team recorded their first victory over St. Joseph's of Lucan, with an impressive scoreline of 4-13 to 2-0. A much tougher match awaited them against Coláiste Íosagáin, but again, the team showed great skill and determination to win by 5 points. The final match of the group was against Castleknock Community College and again St. Mary's emerged victorious with a 14 point margin. This team have played some excellent camogie since the start of their campaign and we wish them and their trainers, Mr. Maguire and Mr. Breen, every success in the upcoming Leinster semi-final.
Well done to St. Mary's Minor Camogie team who were crowned Kildare champions after a great win against Scoil Mhuire,Clane in Hawkfield, Newbridge recently. The score was 5-5 to 1-1. and the captain was Eilis Kenny
March Badminton and Hockey News
Congratulations to St. Mary's Badminton teams who competed in the All Irleand Finals in Gormanstown on March 8th last. Well done to the U16 team who were crowned All Ireland champions for the second year, having won the U14 title last year. Well done to the U19 team who were runners up in the All Ireland final and well played and congratulations to the U14 team who came third.
Well done and hard luck to the Minor Hockey team who were beaten in the Leinster Final on Friday 10th March. Players gave it their all against St. Joseph of Cluny and despite their committment and effort were unlucky to lose in the final. Congratulations to all team members in both sports for their dedication to practice since September and to their coaches Ms. Hughes, badminton and Ms. Howard, hockey for their training and encouragement of the teams.
