competing in the East Leinster Schools Championship
in Clontarf Golf Club. All students involved played some excellent golf and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing golf with students from other schools.
The future is bright for golf in St. Mary’s College and we are looking forward to more competitions in the near future
Well done also to Ciara Waldron, a first year student, who won Junior Golfer of the Year in Naas Golf Club, great achievement.

St. Mary's College Fitness Challenge

Fourteen P.E. classes are entered in the Irish Life Schools Fitness Challenge. Student’s cardiovascular fitness is tested through a bleep test. The initial results have now been recorded and entered. Over the next six weeks, through exercise in P.E. lessons, extra-curricular sport, club sport and guided independent work, students strive to increase their cardiovascular fitness. Students are learning about the health benefits of physical activity, both mental and physical. They also have a personal goal to work towards and have the responsibility to plan their physical activity themselves also. After six weeks work, students will do their bleep test again and results are recorded, so students can see the progress from the work they have done.

rita 2018aI would like to warmly welcome all visitors to our website.  As a Mercy school, within the Catholic Education in Irish Schools Trust, we strive to support and nourish the lives of the people who are at the heart of our schools – students, staff and parents. Our safe, supportive learning environment encourages each girl to fulfill her academic, social and personal potential. We offer a broad curriculum and our staff is committed to the development, motivation and personal welfare of each student. Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, worked for and with women to make a difference. We at St. Mary’s College proudly continue this tradition and work to enable and empower our students to grow and mature into young women who will achieve their potential and go out into the world to live meaningful and purposeful lives. I hope that our website gives you a flavour of the vast range of activities and events which take place in our school community.
